Richard Fricks
Elder
If you have grade school-aged kids at Faith, chances are you know me simply as Mr. Fricks. I've lived in the Kent area my entire life, becoming a believer in the mid-1980s through the outreach ministry of Faith Church. I’ve been part of the congregation ever since.
It was during this time that I met my wife—we were married at Faith and together raised our four children in the church that we’ve called home for almost 40 years.
Over the years, I’ve been privileged to serve in many ministries at Faith. From drama and acting with the Kings Players, to prison outreach with His Harmony, to leading the DK college and career group, my path has been defined by active service. I’ve taught children through Faith’s youth ministries, hosted kids camp at TeePee Town, participated yearly in VBS, taught adult Sunday school, and directed our annual musical productions—bringing stories to life and building community through creativity and conviction.
