David was born and raised in hot and sunny southern California, where he earned a business degree from Azusa Pacific University and met Julia. They married in 2004, and by 2009 had welcomed Samuel and Brennan. God then led them by way of a job offer to the “more affordable” and not-quite-as-sunny Pacific Northwest. They have since welcomed Luella and Matteo into the family. David continues to work in marketing at the company that brought them here, with the older two now in high school, and Julia teaching dance fitness and homeschooling the younger two. David and Julia have been a part of Faith for nearly a decade, involved in various ministries over the years, and are happy to grow where God has planted them. You will rarely find David sitting still unless he is reading a book, otherwise, he enjoys playing and coaching soccer, hiking, backpacking, playing guitar, and hacking away at bushes in the yard. David is humbled to serve as an elder alongside his brothers in Christ, who diligently seek to honor God and serve His sheep. David is learning that “Jesus does not call us to do what he did, but to be as he was, permeated with love.
